Car Navi Player is selling an aftermarket stereo for the 2014 Mazda 3.

Minimal info online, one picture to speak of.... Who is the brave soul that's going to test this thing out? :chuckles:

In all seriousness, though, I think this bodes well for those of us looking for alternatives to Mazda's stock stereos, especially those of us with the base stereo or those of us dissatisfied with the infotainment system. Perhaps more manufacturers will follow.

Question is, will it turn into another Eonon where they come out swinging and their QC falls apart. Or will it have really great features, but average sound quality. Or will it be a freaking awesome A+ unit. Time will tell.

I'm waiting for single and double din conversions to come out so the aftermarket can start diving into the new cars.

I'll never understand why manufacturers don't farm out their ICE to aftermarket manufacturers. Kenwood and Pioneer have ios and app interfacing just about nailed, and you can expect a firmware update anytime something changes or can be done better. The manufacturers are much slower to respond.

Car Navi Player Installed

Update please !

Has anyone tried one of these yet ? Or have purchased from this place before ?

Over the next few months I'll be sorting the audio on my baby. Looking keenly at one of these.

I ordered this head unit and had it installed last week. So far so good. The sound quality is great and it really looks great in my '14 Mazda3 i Touring. The steering wheel controls work except for incoming and outgoing phone calls. The AUX and USB inputs were fully compatible and still are functioning. So far I am really pleased with the unit, I had it professionally installed as I am a noob when it comes to that stuff. If anyone has any questions on it please feel free to let me know!

i think in 3 or so years after our radio and free map update warranty expires it might be worth looking at for me. for right now, i don't want to mess with the bose system. besides, so many things are integrated into the Head unit such as HUD, lightening, camera, door locks, wipers, etc. I doubt this will work in the mazda3s with the exception of base model.
