I've been looking at different tires to get for my 2005 Mazda3 and I'm torn between the two:
Continental ExtremeContact DWS or Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum
I have heard great things about the Continental tire, but I've never even heard of the Kumho brand before. Seeing as how they are closely rated, with Kumho tires supposedly lasting longer at the expense of some tread performance, and costing me almost $100 less, I can't make up my mind.
I've had the worst experiences with my current Falken tires (unfortunately decided on them on a whim at the recommendation of a salesperson), so I want to make sure I'm buying a quality tire. Having said that, I'm leaning toward the Continental, but just wanted to know from you guys whether Kumho is known as a reputable brand and worth considering.
Thanks!
