This would be your best bet. before you do anything that you are asking about it is best to understand how the system works. You should understand how your car operates, what it's limitations are in the current for, and then decide what your goals are before going head first into modifications.

But okay another question now, so since a speed3 comes with stock turbo... now instead of getting a turbo kit would it involve just upgrading parts? or would it still require buying a whole kit?

 

upgrading parts. lots of cool stuff out there for the speed3

 

why not go fully bolted with some sort of tuning instead of going straight for upgrading the turbo?

If you want to go big turbo your going to need fuel pump internals, step colder spark plugs, injector seals, bigger intake/inlet pipe and some other little things. you should upgrade your exhaust manifold as well but you can run bolt-on atp kits on stock exhaust manifold/downpipe but won't make as much power. People run 22-26psi on stock block with no issues but others have had issues. It depends on the car really. Research some more about big turbos before you decide to get in over your head.

Don't worry man. I was a noob at turbos a month ago. Lurked msf at the big turbo build diaries and asked a couple questions and now I'm saving up for my bt project.
