Sirius in an '06

As I am sure most of you know, there is some sort of deal worked out between Mazda and Sirius and the '06 models come outfitted with ... something. This is my question. The manual seems really to be lacking useful information.

What exactly is in the '06 models and what does one need to do/buy to get Sirius running?

Youll need the Sirius reciever kit. Your radio is set for Sirius compatability...Kit will cost about $300 and takes about 2 hours to install....

It doesn't come with much, only a head unit ready to accept a reciever. You need to buy and install the bulk of the system.

Thanks for the replies! That clears it up.

I didn't think the receiver would be so expensive! :shock: I wonder if there is any chance for 3rd party receivers.

If your looking to retain factory controls and use the stock disply than Im afraid the OEM kit is the only option....

God use the search button, the 05's are the same with sirius
