if there was a bolt on conversion for $3k to make it AWD (from MS6), i would pay it in a heartbeat, and i would learn to love the car more, i would modify it more.... as of now, i don't even want to do a full DP, cause it's wrong wheel drive :( ...

Then why did you buy the car if you think it's wrong? It's more efficient to pull than push!

there weren't that many options out there at the time. at the time i was satisfied with speed, and accel... but with time, i am bored with it a bit. i wish i would've gotten a used ms6

well, i would assume that ms3 driveline would be similar to ms6's, and since those conversions already happend, i don't see a big problem of making a rear differential better and disconnecting the front diff.

i seriously doubt that you'll go thru with this, i think this is just talk...

it would be easier to find a similar platform with RWD and an engine, and just put mazda 3 body on it.

a while back, after my dad passed, i wanted to take his 1996 mercury sable station wagon and turn it into a track car, when i got into getting info, it wasn't worth it... .

OP- how old are you?

i think an idea of importing a BMW here is superb! bmw is a cult car. maybe even get an older M5 (like 93-94), put a turbo on it, and it'll be sick. or an older M3, or older 850, or even a shark M5( 1985). that would be an awsome car to built.

i think bmw is a great platform for any project. you have limittless possibilities, and anything that comes out will be great. i don't htink you can go wrong with bmw...
