That is completely normal for our cars. Mine did the same thing when I put in a Test Pipe. It's just unburnt fuel from running pig rich.
I was however able to cure it. Though I wasn't TRYing to cure it at the time, just improve performance. The way it was solved (for me) was (and I'm not sure which one did it) was on Christmas Eve, I installed my new presents from wifey...
High Pressure Fuel Pump Internals (I recommend PTP's)
COBB Turbo Inlet Pipe
Denso Iridium ITV22 step colder plugs.
Out of these, I'm pretty sure it was the HPFP internals upgrade, and also the plugs may have helped a great deal too, as my old ones had a lot of build up on them. The plugs being new probably makes it burn the fuel better instead of letting unburnt fuel through. The HPFP, I have no idea how that could have helped, but since it's fuel related, maybe it did. Someone else may have a better idea. Lastly, the COBB TIP lets more air and colder air through, so that may have helped balance things out.
Anyhow, that's what happened. Now I get NO black smoke. AT ALL. Ever. Used to it would puff black smoke all the time when I would floor it and especially at shift points. It was embarrassingly bad sometimes. lol Nothing like getting on it and black smoke puff'n out the back that a locomotive or chimney stack. ugh.
