My check engine light came on Thanksgiving Day and my brother had a code reader and pulled these codes:
P2177 - Bank 1; System Too Lean off Idle
P2187 - Bank 1; System Too Lean at Idle
P2195 - O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Lean Bank 1 Sensor 1
I also started noticing a sputter/misfiring in the engine when accelerating, but it has only happened a dozen or so times since the engine light came on.
After consulting with 3 different mechanics, they suggested it is probably due to a bad oxygen sensor. I went to Advance Auto to inquire about the pricing of the O2 sensors and learned that there is an "upstream" and a "downstream" sensor.
Can someone please weigh in on this? Below is a link to some photos I took of what I THINK are the oxygen sensors, but I'm still unsure of how to decide which is the one that needs replacing, and how to determine which is upstream/downstream.

Any help would be much appreciated!
