I know there’s a lot of posts about motor mounts but most don’t really have the answer I’m looking for. I have a 2005 Mazda 3 4spd auto and I’m looking at replacing the motor mount. I was wondering should I replace all the motor mounts such as the passenger, trans, and the rear or simply swap out the passenger mount. I was looking at rock auto and they have a complete set for $100, but also have just the passenger mount ranging from 40-60. I would like some input into which brand is better or what not.

Recently replaced my 2007 Speed3 factory side mounts at about 180K. I have an aftermarket rear mount that I did not replace. I went with Mazda mounts because the 'sport' mounts are too harsh for an old car like mine, IMO. I thought about Rock Auto, but for the price I just can't imagine them lasting long. My factory mounts were pretty shot, but they were still holding the engine up at 180K. The engine sits a bit higher now with the new mounts!

Cost of parts does not indicate the quality or how long they will last. Understanding the 2 basic components aftermarket and OEM are really about equal in quality.

Performance mounts generally use polyurethan @ 70-85 Durometer hardness. They are designed for performance usage and to reduce drive train component movements.
So, they will in all case make the overall feeling a bit more notable.
I caution the poly mounts if you drive aggressively and shift at high RPM ranges used on any transmission as they can cause case fracturing. OEM transmissions are not designed with reenforced casting ribbing in those areas for solid or very hard transmission mounts.

Beck Arnley has been a decades old company that has offered quality aftermarket products. When I was a distributor of their parts most were manufactured in Japan. Now like a majority of products from many suppliers some now come from China. However, any OEM replacement part from them is at least equal to OEM specification and quality.
