Anyone know if there would be a notable difference in insurance rates between a GS (no sport package) and a GT/GFX??

Ya i have asked them.. the problem is that the woman i spoke with didnt know anything. She was calling the GS (without sports pkg.) a "sports car" and i had to argue with her that it wasnt.

Also, she had the mazda 3's lumped into 2 categories: GX , and everything else... and she would only give me rough estimates.

I know what your going to say, you're going to tell me to switch insurance companies. But my family's been with them forever.

I guess i just need to go in and sit with them face-to-face and show them exactly what im talking about.

I am not sure on the price difference but my insurance guy labeled my GS as a GX. I asked him why and he said that basically they don't list a GS, just a GX or GT.

If I remember well there about $100-200 difference between GS and GT. the only reasons for that is the 12hp more in the GT. that why the hatchback is consider a GS whenever model you have cause they both use the 2.3.
And the 3 is not a sport car at all, your broker is over the track. :werd:

This is same price difference that I recall when I was asking around for insurance quotes. I seem to remember it was about $200CDN less, but I could be wrong. Either way, I do remember that it wasn't a huge difference.
