How to check my ABS speed sensor connection

Hi all.

My ABS light has been on a while now. After doing some quick research on google, I found out it could be caused by a bad speed sensor. After tracing my steps, i realized that the light came on after i did some offroading experiment. And the light first came on, it would go away after driving for a few minutes or after the car get restarted. All the symptoms make me think it is possible that a wire to the speed sensor might be loose or the wire is broken.

So my question is that how can I check whether that is the case before taking it to a mechanic shop.

thanks in advance.

did some more research and figured it out.

the sensor is located right next to the rotor on the strut bar. To access it, you have to take the wheel off. It is the only thing that has wires on it.

Mine was jammed with rocks and dirt. I washed it out but the ABS light didn't reset, i guess i will have to take into the shop after all :(

Bump. I'm guessing you might have fixed the problem with regards to your ABS sensor but here's a reference for for anyone having problems with it:
