How to activate HD Radio on my 2020 Mazda 3

I have called Mazda, and confirmed that my car does have HD radio.

In the Mazda Connect Owners Manual, page 3, it says

"You can enable/disable the "HDRadio Tuner" or the "Live Event Mode".

.....but it does not explain how to do this.

I called Mazda Customer Support, and they don't know.

Any advice on how to do this?

On my Kenwood, the HD radio option is in tuner section, it may be in a similar menu on your Mazda. I could select Standard-HD (only)-AUTO which would turn HD on if signal strength was strong enough. It was a few clicks in and bugged me as the "HD" setting would cut out randomly when the signal strength would drop and AUTO would cycle back and forth with the HD treble gains noticeable. I just left it on standard as Im 45 miles from any HD transmitter. good luck, HD is cool if your very close to the transmitter or have great line of sight in Kansas or other flat places. I have an HD tuner on rack mount stereo in garage and it works great with a big UHF/VHF/FM antenna on roof.

Yeah, cant help but that 'live event mode disabled' would be my first guess. My kenwood tuner setting wasnt in 'settings' but was a soft button on the FM screen itself on the bottom with only a cryptic icon. <<UPDATE>> just looked up my kenwood manual and the HD settings are under the RCV button (or maybe an antenna icon) analog>digital>auto good luck!

Thanks - will need to look there.

Amazing that nobody at Mazda seems to know this - we are sending emails back and forth. No help so far.

HD settings are under the RCV button (or maybe an antenna icon) analog>digital>auto good luck!

When you get a chance, can you please take a photo of this with your phone, and attach it here?
