Help with Auto Climate Control

I noticed two things about the Auto Climate Control that have been bugging me and was wondering if these could be fixed -

1. When I turn on Auto Climate Control, it always decides to pull air in from the outside of the car, even if I already set it to only circulate inside. Why does it do this?

2. With Auto Climate Control, the A/C is always on. If my car already reached the temperature I set, or is higher inside, why does it keep the A/C on?

3. Sometimes the Climate control sets the vents to a different setting that I had before. For example, I prefer to only use the dash level vents, but sometimes when I switch to auto climate control, it'll switch it to the floor level vents. I can't figure out what it's thinking.

Anything advice would help. It seems the climate control is a fickle beast and I was wondering if there was any way to save settings?

Thanks!

1. On Auto is basically does whatever it wants to do - in mine it's the opposite, it always wants to use air from the cabin. I can switch that off though without disabling Auto mode. There's no way to "save" settings, or else it wouldn't be automatic anymore. :)

2. It uses A/C to dehumidify the air, which can keep the car from fogging up inside when it's cold out. I've read that with Auto turned on, even if you turn off the A/C light, it'll still use A/C if it needs to (the indicator light just won't be on).

3. It changes the vent output sometimes on its own, to whatever it thinks is best to get the cabin to the desired temp.

It will pull air from outside the car depending on the temperature outside compared to inside the car. It'll turn on the a/c above and below a certain temp too.
