Sounds like an issue with the new door. I presume its not new?
Shouldn't be too hard to fix/bypass... but I havn't checked to see how it works in the mazda. Maybe someone else can help... My guess is you should take apart the door to see how it works, and you may likely find the cause of the problem

 

I did take off the door panel and played around with testing power and grounds. but couls put anything together. and u are right the door is not "new"

 

After re-reading your problem, and thinking about it some more, I think I have a better idea of whats going wrong. I'm not sure how the door system works in the mazda (my old cars were mechanical buttons that got pressed when doors got closed) but it seems to me there is an electrical contact that touches when the door is fully closed. Since you're also having problems with your power windows locally on that door (but not from elsewhere) that leads me to believe that there is nothing wrong with the new door, but rather the contact and/or wiring behind it.

Does that make sense or help at all? I should probably stop trying to help cus i really dont know anything about the doors

 

no it deff makes sense cuz i thought the same thing. like you said older cars have the button in the door jam but the 3 doesnt. so the contact makes sense. thats why i was checking for what wires were hot and what ones were with the key on. so do you have any idea what wire colors i should look at in there so maybe i can just bypass it for now. or can you at least point me to were i could find it on this site?

 

I had a similar problem, but it was after installing an amp and speakers into an 08 hatch. The door open light wouldn't go off. Turns out one of the main fuses on the fuse panel under the glove box was the culprit. Somehow I had bumped it loose. I snapped it in and the light went off.

It wasn't a fuse so much as a wiring harness connector. If you look at the bottom of the fuse panel there should be two of these connecting to the panel. Lots of wires coming out of them. They have a lever that snaps them in.

[/quote]If he didn't touch it, i kinda doubt its the problem, but hey, cant hurt to try I guess. Just take the whole thing apart, and put the whole thing back together...? =/
... or you could check for a burnt fuse if you can figure out which one it is, should be in the manual i would think...

 

the door actuator assembly has a plug that connects it the the doors main wiring harness which tells whether its open or not. this could be unplugged. and so could the window switch thing. on a side note did you make sure the window lock isnt on?

another thing is, when you hit the door lock thing on the driver/pass side, does that door lock/unlock? if it does then the actuator is connected.
