Centrifugal supercharger?

hey guys, I have been hearing a lot about these things lately and I wanted to ask the experts what the hype is about and if it is worth it so I came here :) anyway from my understanding these units are essentially belt driven turbos that act like a supercharger as far as zero lag and so forth. Is that right? And do they perform like you would expect a bolt on forced induction system would? Any info is appreciated.

turbo is easiest route, because we already have available kits. another benefit is no parasitic loss.

But essentially they all do the same thing, force more air into the engine. it's up to you really.

just know that everything with a supercharger will be custom as nothing really exists.
and a twin screw system would be hard as hell with such small engine bay space and the way our intake manifolds are designed

well i figured the twin screw would be a royal pain because of fitment and space so i started looking at the centrifugal and it seemed good enough but like you said the customization is still an issue. I have a turbo on my 06 pushing 8 lbs and it does a decent job but the lag is a problem

^^^ +1 with manny, the community will be better informed of what u have installed....

Yea, orange is right... That's around about where its meant to spool, comparatively the speed turbo spools much sooner ( low end power) but runs out of steam quickly where as the TP solution uses much bigger turbo which spools later but keeps on going ( mid to top end power )...

Yes a tune may help a bit But i don't think it will bring material gains . If u look at the power band graph for the turbo u will see the turbo is basically kicking in as designed....

So I'd say u have a few possible roads to go down but I still Would not s/c...

1> get a tune and see where this leaves u off, I really don't think this will work for u as I suspect u want boost way down low in the rpm's
2< get a smaller turbo and tune... Gain power down low loose power up hi but I think this is what u want ... I would do a bit of research though into the new turbo before u get it to make sure it's designed to work efficiently in the rpm range u want it to... And that it will bolt into ur setup / minimize mods
3> live with it and adjust ur driving style.... Tbo no one is the same but the attributes that bother u the most are those I am seeking lol

I think u could also have the t/c rebuilt using a differently configured impeller which could allow earlier spool... That said u would again have to research.
