Royal Purple is all i will put in this car. At 2000 miles I made the switch from dino to RP and Let me tell you that is was a night and day difference. The car revved easier, it idled smoother. I doubt any power was made but the drivability certainly increased.

Yes, RP is the way to go. I can get it locally now in qts instead of having to mail order to CA for something like Redline.
It's better all around. It even drains better when you change it. I swear I get a bit more mpg. I only have to change it twice a year and it's purple like 2 cycle oil making it fun.

I'm not sure that Royal Purple handles fuel dilution very well. There is a member on these forums that has not had good oil analysis results. His name is Jahman, and I think he may have posted his UOA results somewhere.

PP, on the other hand, is supposed to handle FD very well -- so does RLI, but it is a bit more expensive.
Bottom line is that you can probably overcome FD with shorter OCIs. Would you rather do a shorter OCI with an expensive oil ... or would you rather do it with something more affordable? If the neat color of the oil is important to you, then you already have your answer
