Still love our Platinum Silver MZ5 Touring Automatic, now the latest new car  hints/tips!
Coping with a slow A/C unit...

Tint those windows asap! They make your MZ5 look even greater, very hot. We tinted 20% on front and 80% on rear with "true grey" window tint from Solargard. Had it installed at Super AutoBac in Stanton, California which is a huge Japanese Auto Part and Accessory Store. $225.00

This helps your A/C become much more efficient, cools better and faster, crack open the moonroof a bit when you first start up, or crack open the windows. This helps get rid of the hot air build up. Do this with the A/C set to non-recirculate (fresh) until you feel the cool air start, then set it to reciculate and close windows and roof. Helps a lot! If you have the Auto Air, make sure to switch it to "Auto" mode, then set temp to 60 Degrees. That cranks it up to the max.

Get one of those front window sun guards, you know, the springgie pop up ones. (BigLots for 3 bucks!) Make sure you get a jumbo or super size one, that front window is HUGH! Use it when you park, and this with the Solar-Guard tint cuts the inside heat by about 20%. Every little bit helps! No troubles or problems to report, (Note to Mazda!) a bit more HP, passenger arm rests, litter bin. Getting a consistant 22 mpg, have had 6 adults inside on a short trip, no complaints! Also, buy a stainless exhaust tip, makes the rear end look even nastier! (Pep-Boys $12.00) By the way, note that inside of the fuel door, is a half circle clip that holds the gas cap while you're filling up.

Tires last longer!...
Also did you know that some tire shops, including Costco and America's Tires are now offering to refill your tires with nitrogen, for around 3 to 5 bucks each. The avantages are plentiful, including helping your tires run cooler, staying at the right pressure much longer (nitrogen atoms are larger that oxygen atoms, and do not go  out thru the rubber as fast!), eliminates oxygen from inside your tires, which stops ozone from deteriorating the rubber (tires last longer!) and more. "What we are trying to do as a company is increase the safety of our customers at no additional cost," said Duane Winterbottom  of  Costco.  Pep Boys, too! Look it up on the Web!  Hope I helped some! I haven't noticed that the a/c in either my 3 or 5 wasn't as good as it should be. Both seem to work fine. Those are great tips, though. Works for any car.

In the USAF, we'd use nitrogen exclusively in aircraft tires, because it isn't as prone to expansion and contraction. Air-filled tires can lose 1 lb per 10 degrees of ambient temperature change! Nitrogen will keep your pressures stable all day, all year.

passenger arm rests,[/quote]
Since it was built on the 3 platform, it was not wide enough. If they put a passenger arm rest, the center console storage would not be able to have a lid. At least that's how it was explained to me, seems like an "oops, we forgot this until the last second" type of thing to me.
