I'm a proud owner of a 2008 Mazda 3 with 2.0 and 5 speed manual.
I love most everything about it, except very high RPMs at highway cruising speeds. For short trips it's ok, but I'm planning a trip across Canada this summer and I'm sure I'll go crazy with the constant noise that 3000 RPM and above.
I will be replacing my other car, a 2006 Toyota Matrix with another Mazda this summer before the trip.
Please help me out by stating your car's powertrain and year and roughly what RPMs you get at cruising speed.
I know the 2.3 L is much closer to 2000 at 60 MPH, but what about newer 2.0 L Mazdas? Thanks.
