i got it a little.
i have noticed it when i am driving normally then all of a sudden take off quickly from a stop while shifting into 2nd very hard.
figured that it is prolly just unburnt fuel. The car doesnt fall on its face or anything so I wouldnt think it would be a fuel cut.

just out of curiosity, for the guys getting the pop/backfire: do all of you have aftermarket DV/BOV's?

since i have had the TBE on the car, i have had only 1 pop/backfire at 63000 rpm really hittin hard. I spaced for a second thinking i was not reving that high( came from a Si) and it popped. I changed my Turbosmart valve to full recirc after that and have not had the issue again, although i have only taken it up to 6000 since then with no issues. That shit scares me, so i learned from my mistake to not push it past 6 grand unless there is some valid reason to.

I started getting it after I swapped the BPV. It only happens occasionally. I think it might be that the BPV reacts too quick during shifts and dumps boost faster then the engine can do anything with the fuel. Just my theory.

I have forge (blue spring). 99.9% sure I got it with stock bpv too.

the blue spring is the one that's "close" to stock right? Or was that the green one???

I had a forge 007 in my Audi and if I recall, I ran the yellow spring which was for 20+psi.

mine backfires only when redline or driving hard or after driving hard when i start to drive normally it still pops i think its normal.

If you check my Cobb AP issues post looks like most of my issues are gone.

Still have "pops" and noises right after shifting, sometimes. If I am in fact running rich...I would have to have a leak somewhere right? I checked all conenctions/clamps and it's good. Even torqued the Bpv to proper specs (14 ft lb)

sometimes after i run it hard and turn the a/c on and would let off the clutch or hit the gas pedal at like 5mph i would get like ak-47 pops  but not too loud though.
