I've owned my lightly used '10 3 Sport Hatchback 6MT for 4 days now, and one of the first things that bothered me is the lack of a engine temp gauge. It was one of the first things I noticed, as I looked for it on the test drive to see if the engine was up to operating temperature.
How could Mazda produce a car without an engine temp gauge??? Don't they know it's a vital instrument in 1) knowing when it's safe to start driving the car after it's been sitting for anything longer than a few hours, and 2) knowing if your engine is overheating?? I mean, holy crap!
Maybe it's something I missed while leafing through the Owners manual. Maybe it's something I can scroll through on the secondary screen. If either of these is the case, PLEASE inform me! I feel like I've left the house without pants on every morning because I don't know what temp my engine is.
