Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows the part # of the MAF sensor connector(female). Also, since you can't just buy the pigtail from mazda I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the Ford MAF sensor connectors would work since you can actually buy them from Ford. I heard they may be able to be swapped but I'm not sure the exact one I need. It's an 07 hatch but I think anything from 04 is equivalent. Thanks!

Thanks saw that already but mine broke while I was at my cottage and i could only strip them and put this silicone type stuff all over my plug to keep em in place just to make it home ok. So i really need the new plug and it's turning into a way bigger pain in the ass then I would have ever imagined. No one at Mazda is any help whatsoever. All they want to do is sell me the whole wiring harness for.... $1400, hahaha.

Being faced with this problem again and having duged online like a horny monkey, I wanted to let everyone know that if you investigate the MAF sensor, it's the same one that's used on some Toyota's, Jaguar's, Mazda 3/6 up too 2013 (most models I think), and the Pontiac Vibe 2003-2008. The Pontiac has the AC Delco Part Number PT1504 and should be available online, at NAPA's or a GM dealer's and cost in the range of 50-60$.

Go check out the classified section on here. Theres a member who is parting out an 08 MS3 and is selling his engine wiring harness for $100. He sold me headlamp wiring for like $20, I bet you could get the MAF pigtail from him (if he still has it).

This happened to me about a 4 weeks ago on my 2006 mazda 3 S. I couldn't find a nearby mazda 3 in alabama to get the sensor from and couldn't find a universal one that matched. I ended up cutting out the sensor, then you can pop out each wire individually from the clip. Then I removed the rubber on the end of the wire, strip what was left of the wire(decent amount inside the clip) and learned how to solder and replace the broken wire and then solder it back into the car. I ended up extending every wire so that I wouldn't have a problem again and was happy to learn a new skill.
