Sounds super high. I'm paying around $800. Accidents follow drivers, not cars though. Were you at fault?

 

Sounds really high to me too...I'm driving an '06 Hatch and it's only costing me $790 a year.

 

yeah i was at fault.. but itd never get to 3k.. thats like the car needing to be rebuilt or something.

 

WOW is that insurance company you a real dry hump...... 3k a year is crazy... I would shop around for new insurance...
Keep in mind that you are most likely under 25 with a chargeable accident that was your fault. Possibly some moving violations also?? Thats why you are paying so much. But I would still shop around.... BTW, I pay $695 a year for the same car. But then again I'm 3x your age with no tickets or accidents....

well that explains it.

 

I have been at fault on an accident under 1500.00. still 800$/yr. iam over 25. Is the car salvage? maybe that is the problem? Shop around for a new insurance. 3k is risk pricing.
