LMAO, firestone quotes you 950?!?!!?!?

go to the junkyard....get a new pan for $20.....do it yourself

Seriously, if you know how to use a wrench and a socket set, you can do this job yourself. I have only removed an oil pan once and that was to replace the gasket on an old chevy that was leaking many years ago but I'm sure the process is no different. Assuming Mazda's also have a gasket, just pick up a new one before you start the replacement of the old pan.

Undercover
Right front wheel
Drive belt
A/C compressor
Oil pan

And then it all has to go back on....

+1 on the Helicoil suggestion!
