Newbie alert here
We've got the itch for a new car as we've come to the unsurprising conclusion that our 2006 Hyundai Sonata V6 is just too boring to drive.
We've had good luck with Mazdas lately and have managed to accumulate no less than four Miatas over the last few years. But for daily drivers we've always had Hyundais starting with an 02 Sonata, 04 Santa Fe, 04 Tiburon, and now we have the 06 Sonata and 07 Santa Fe.
I'd like to think we'd be pretty happy with a regular '10 Mazda 3 (Grand Touring 5-door) but in the back of my mind I think we'd be really happy with a Mazdaspeed3. One of the Miatas is a Mazdaspeed MX-5 and the little turbo kick can be pretty addicting.
Is the MS3 livable as a daily driver? The wife would be using it as her commuter on days she doesn't take a little convertible, which means rain, snow, locusts, and suburban Washington DC traffic. Is the clutch something you'll wind up cursing while sitting in stop-and-go traffic? Can it be smoothly launched time after time?
