Hey everyone. I'm new here. Been posting for about 4 days or so. I have done tons and TONS of reading these past 4 days. On Monday I test drove the Mazda3S 5door and I knew I wanted it. I left that dealer telling him that I didn't want to be pressured or he could forget I was ever there... that worked :)

Anyways, here I am on Sunday. It's 7am right now and I am going to the dealership later today to wheel and deal. I am going to aim higher than what I originally thought (see signature) and I am going to try and get ABS, Moonroof/6-CD, and Xenon lights/TPMS. I'm walking in and saying I want all that for $17,800. From there I'll see how it all goes. I am armed with invoice prices and print outs from this forum :) After seeing so many people snag their 3's for WELL under $18,000... I'm pretty confident in how this will turn out.

Anyways, wish me luck guys :) Hopefully I'll be driving home with my new Winning Blue love.

Good luck! :)
Dun forget to bring a camera!!!
Damn, I put this in the wrong section :(
Hmm, I never knew dealers in the US are open even on Sunday. Good luck, especially being Superbowl Sunday, hopefully the dealers will be in a dealing mood...go there just before they close, closer to kick-off time!
Just got back :-D

Got myself a Winning Blue Mazda3S 5door with:

-ABS package
-Moonroof and 6-CD Changer package
-Xenon and TPMS package

I'll post pictures and numbers later on :)

I really want to give a HUGE thanks to everyone at this forum. You all really kept me informed and I knew what I was doing. All the help was amazing, Thank You!

Here are some quick pictures that I took RIGHT before I left the dealer... I'll get more tomorrow when I have more time :)

The lady in the 3rd picture with "that dude" (me), is my mom... She gave me the down payment I needed in order to afford this car ($5,000), so she rules. In the end my payments are $299/month for 60 months. That's pretty damn sweet.

Congrats! Nice looking pics :)
nice lookin' ride! congrats! how close did you get your price goal? i'm very interested b/c that's basically the same equipment I'm looking for.
Nice car ZeR0c0oL5!!! I really wanted a winning blue one but couldn't find one in the area with the options I wanted. Those numbers look a little odd. It looks almost like you paid $20K for the car. Is this right?

neoriffic I am doubtful that you are going to get that car for less than $17K neoriffic. Unless, of course, Mazda opens the floodgates on incentives between now and when you buy the car. The best deal I've seen is someone getting $600 below invoice before incentives and rebates. With the invoice of this car hovering around $18,338, you are going to need to knock off over $1300 from invoice.

Not saying it's impossible, but very unlikely. Good luck though and tell us how it goes.[/b]
I got the car AT invoice. There was some other crap thrown around in there as far as price negotiating... but I got the best deal I could've possibly gotten in the South Florida area. I'll post details on that in the proper thread later.

Thanks for all the praise, guys!
I got my 5-Door with 6 disc/moonroof ABS/SAB/SAC and 5 speed with a list of $19,100 for $16,788 (dealer net $422.08 under invoice) with the $500 college rebate so it is possible to get under invoice..
Are you subtracting the Rebate off your original Invoice price? Cause I don't think that can be done... isn't it mailed afterwards?

I got $400 off dealership fees. I could just say "I paid the full dealership fees and got $400 under invoice." Either way... it's the same price in the end, so it doesn't matter where I put it. I also got the $500 Loyalty rebate, but I won't say "I got $900 under invoice." As far as I know, it doesn't work that way.

But maybe you know somethign I don't.... Cause I don't know much.
YO MAN YOU'RE ZERO COOL MAN! *bows and makes bruce lee sounds* i thought you was black man....

I got the rebate when I purchased the car. I got net meaning I paid dealer net and got all their holdbacks, etc just because I knew someone there...I paid no hidden fees etc..for example..

You could get net but then have to pay a documentation fee if $450...well your not getting net because you just paid $450 in fees so your acutally paying with 2% base MSRP of Mazda holdback about $50 over invoice...get the drift?

Car dealers are sleazy..most of them...some are good but some will say your getting invoice but then have to pay a $400 doc fee, dealer fee, prep and delivery fee...etc..this is just a scam to get you to pay more by the car dealer.
soo secksay
Nice car. Say does your mom have another $5K around for me? :)
