X Plan, also know as the Ford Partner Recognition Program, is a program for the employees of Ford suppliers and partner companies. It is designed to assist the employees of these selected companies with the purchase or lease of a new Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, Volvo or Land Rover vehicle. The pricing is based on 4 percent above the A Plan price. A Plan is the price that Ford employees pay for a vehicle and is the true "Dead Cost" shown on the vehicle invoice.

For example say the A Plan price for a Mazda3 Sport GT is $20000 (the MSRP is actually $21385), so the X Plan price would be $20800.

I work for company eligible for this plan. My collegue bought a 2003 Protege 5 with a $1500 discount off the MSRP. I have asked couple of dealers, but they are not sure if the Mazda3 is eligible.
Not that I know, but from what you describe the "x-plan" as, I don't see why the m3 is out of this discount bracket.
mz3: Where are you? Canada/US, etc.??? Please add your location to your profile.

For Canada, the 3 is eligible for the discount but not all dealers must accept it. It's up to them.
The MZ3 will be available for X-Plan (S-Plan), yeah... not sure if it will be immediately or not, but I think the 6 was...
I should be able to get the s-plan and e-plan(mz employee) prices when I go in today or Mon..
I wish I worked for Mazda.
helll they should put up a broke-off-your-ass-plan =D...
YES! We just got our Mazda3 tonight and we got it at the S-plan price. I have a friend whose husband works for Ford and got the plan through them. It came to $6 under the invoice price.
X Plan

The X plan is not currently available for "high demand cars". This includes the 3, 6 and RX8. I was told this will be in effect until some time around July.
I think it's up to the individual dealers whether or not they want to honor the s-plan price. I had a hard time with one place, but another dealer was more than willing to give me the s-plan on my 3.
We picked up our Mazda 3 5 door on Saturday. Bought using the Ford X-Plan. The sales person asked the sales manager if the dealership would sell the car under the X-plan, and the answer was yes.

Love the car!

Doug
Bought my car with the X-plan as well, but they said they couldn't give me cost + 4% because the car is such a hot item atm. However, I did get $700 off the price of the car. I went to a few dealers and they gave me the same story, but not all dealers gave me the same price when they came back with the X-plan price.

....then you didn't buy it with the x-plan, you just got a normal deal.

Man i didn't know that you could actually get the cost + 4%. Oh well, it doesnt really matter because i wanted to get the car anyways before the X-plan option was available to me.
The company I work for has Ford Partner Program eligibility. Mazda doesn't use the exact same "X-Plan" as Ford, they call it the "S-Plan" at Mazda. But because Ford owns part of Mazda, if you have a Ford Partner Program Plan, it'll work at Mazda.

I got my Mazda 3 on the S-Plan.

I had one dealership tell me I was getting it, but quoted me a different price and then told me that "since it was in high demand, they had to up the price a bit." I said "No thanks."

I had one dealership flat out tell me that I couldn't have the Mazda 3 at the S-Plan because it was so new. I could have any other car on his lot of the S-Plan, just not the Mazda 3. I said "No thanks."

Third dealership said "Sure!" And right there on the actual car invoice was the S-Plan price right next to the E-Plan (which you can only get by working for Mazda I believe)... and that was the price I paid.

It completely varies from dealer to dealer. I would recommend calling the dealers first and ask if they offer the S-Plan on their Mazda 3s... if they say No... hang up and call the next one. Dont worry about features/colors... I got the dealer that was willing to work with me to switch out to another dealership for the color I wanted.

I remember reading somewhere that dealership's do not have to offer employee pricing plans. It is totally voluntary. I ordered my Tit. Grey Mazda3 GT /w GFX & Auto. from Erin Mills Mazda in Mississauga. It's weird cause I went to another dealership and they quoted a higher price (X Plan) than the price I finally settled for at Erin Mills. My final price was about $26,600 CDN (all taxes and fees included)

Although I'm sure they don't all participate, the price should be the same for all of the dealers, or they're ripping ya off. A buddy of mine bought a Tribute and was quoted the same price from 3 or 4 different dealers in two different states (Nebraska and Minnesota). I don't see why they wouldn't offer the plan for the 3, as I can get discounts though my business on Jaguar and Land Rover too, also Ford brands.
