WTB: Mazdaspeed3 front bumber or alternative

4658 Views 17 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  snip3s
Someone backed into my SH*T and ran.... so Now i am stuck with a punctured front bumper and a big headache. If anyone has replaced their front end or knows of someone who has...point me to it. Also if anyone has seen one in a salvage yard let me know.

Obviously this is a large part so I would say in SOCAL only.

Also if anyone knows of any companies that make a entirely new front bumper for the mazda3/speed3 let me know. I might take a look at it. Thanks in advanced for any help. Im sure a lot of you guys feel my pain. Its like when your dog or cat gets all their hair shaved off for a surgery or something and they cant walk around with their head up. :-(

HELPPPP!

Re: WTB: Mazda3 Sport or Mazdaspeed3 front bumber

You cannot put a Speed3 bumper on a regular 3 without replacing the hood and possibly quarter panels... So I would probably stick with just a 3's bumper.

Lol if you read below my name i drive a speed3 lol... thanks for looking out though.

So i guess that means... I am just looking for a mazdaspeed3 front bumper then? Cause i thought the ones on the sports hatch and the speed3 were the same... I mean ive made the mistake when coming head on and just listened for the exhaust HAHA.

yeah... you'll want the speed3 bumper. Sorry, I didn't even look over on your profile. The speed3 bumper is significantly different than the regular3 bumper, so the best way to go would be OEM, or, if you want it to look superhot, the AutoExe front bumper is awesome.

As a note since I am paying out of pocket I am trying not to spend a whole lot of money on this. Especially when the Fu**er ran... What an ass... even if i was in a hurry i would still leave a note with my information so that they could contact me.
The cheapest route for you is go to dealer, around 300$ for the cover only. I need a complete one with all accessory fog etc... if you find one tell me where please.

just go to your insurance
as long as you made a report

I didnt read over that last post of mine.

I can afford to repaint it and all lol. I was just trying to find the best way of going about it. All my alternatives lol. Insurance is pointless 1000 deductible.... so yeah... Well if anyone has any other suggestions let me know. I am very interested in alternative bumpers for my speed 3 as long as they arent 700 dollars... lol.
how bad is the puncture? pics? my buddy runs a shop and patches that stuff and looks perfect again if its not too big.
You are right 300 for the plastic, call a bodyshop to get a price on painting, I don't think it's going to be more than 200$ for the paint. So for 500$ you are done plus you have to work a bit to remove the old cover and put the new in place. Check the How-to section for the removal and reinstallation of the bumper it's pretty simple.

Yeah i figured.... I have taken my bumper off before and it was not too bad. I also have the SSG GV lip I think I might have that refinished and repainted at the same time. I was actually contemplating having it molded in but im not too sure how well that will work out. What do you guys think?

UPDATE: PICTURES

I WANT TO CRY...

I wouldnt mind doing the autoexe one but honestly for that kind of money i want more options lol...

sell me the lip you will feel better lmfao jkjk man let me c if i can find you a bumper real fast
I looked already... found that one...lol. Its used...and has dents in it... you just can see them. I already have a bumper that needs body work :-D Thank you for looking for me though. :nice:
anyone local in SF Valley or LA that might know a good place to get my bumper repaired? Is it even possible to repair plastic with bondo and still do a quality job? what do you guys think?

This is so annoying... i never found out who did this. Who would think 20 min inside and this shit happens. I have private parking at work and my own space at home both where no one can hit me... arg... so annoying.
Don't repair it with bondo, it's going to crack for sure. Very good product are available for urethane repair, your local bodyshop is going to know what to use for sure.

Good luck
