So on Dec. 31st, I was pulled over for going "85" on the freeway as the officer claimed to have paced me at. I know I was using cruise control and couldn't have been going over 75. Anyhow he wrote me up for going 70 in a 65...which I plan to fight in court.

However, today I received in a ticket in the mail for my tints, which he failed to address when he stopped me. I didn't know they could do that...the officer mailed me a ticket! What the hell is going on?

In the area it says "Without admitting guilt..." where you're supposed to sign, it says owner's responsibility because he didn't issue me the ticket when he stopped me so there was no chance for me to sign. Has this happened to anyone before?

that's different. they actually mailed me the ticket you get when you're pulled over! the one that they fill out and have you sign...

yes, i was just saying that signing or not signing the ticket might not mean anything.

keepjeepin said he was gonna mail a ticket to some lady that was talking on her cell phone and pulled over to ask him directions. When he told her it was illegal to phone while driving, she took off.

signing the ticket is never an admission of guilt. it simply means that you have received notification of the ticket.

Did the officer send the letter with a delivery confirmation of some sort? If he didn't, I would ignore it :lol: ... Don't know if it will be legal tho

I've had the same thing happen to me last year for not coming to a full stop at a light and then a few weeks later I got a letter in the mail thinking it was the court date thing but it was for an exhaust violation for being modified. The people were dicks at the court so I just payed it and let it be over with.
