I'm trying to find the best sounding and effecient way to hook up this sub. It is a single Swiss Audio SWL1080 10" sub
400 Watts peak
Dual 4ohm (can be either 2 or 8 ohm)

The amp is a Swiss Audio SMR4002 here are the specs:
400W x 1 @ 4ohms mono
280W x 2 @ 2ohms stereo
200W x 2 @ 4ohms stereo

What are my options on hooking this sucker up?
Thanks

You should powe each 4ohm voice coil with a channel from the amp. Make sure the signal you feed the amp is mono.
Bingo. Would have been wise to get the correct impedence on your sub so you can put the amp into mono instead of feeding it a mono signal.

But either way, works fine.

2 ohm mono and this thing pounds like hell. I did not even have to adjust the gain on the amp either.
