Yes, it would work. Just you would have to get the sub (D-whatever) to make the final load on the amp 4ohms

I don't think it will actually, that sub is dual 4ohm, which means he would have to wire it in parallel at 2ohms. That amp wont do 400Watts at 2ohm, only 4ohm. And least if I read everything correct.

Yep, thats why I said get the (D-whatever) to make it a 4ohm load at the end. It would have to be the D-2 wired in series to make a 4ohm load.

sorry what do you mean get the sub d whatever, this particular sub wont work or there is something that will allow it to, what jl amp is made for this subwoofer im having trouble figuring that out?

The sub and amp together will work, they have different voice coil ratings. They make that subwoofer with D-2, D-4, and D-6.... you need to get the D-2 sub to get the proper wattage going to the sub, thats all.. they are all the same price :)
