I seen a thread a while back (can't find it now) of someone using a TurboXS FMIC or perhaps the Mazda3Mods FMIC with an Injen CAI- can't exactly remember.... but the pipes were right next to each other.

My question is I have bought the CPE CAI and I'm eventually will be looking to purchase a FMIC- but I am not happy with the CPE's FMIC....

I was wondering if the TurboXS or COBB FMIC will work with the CPE CAI?

Oh yah, also if anyone knows the links to that thread where the user showed the pictures of his CAI & FMIC pipes being next to each other would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Sebastian

I know the Turbo-XS is compatible with cold air intake's I just looked through their installation instruction here http://www.turboxs.com/uploaded_images/534.pdf and it illustrates the piping running parallel to the intake I believe that you should be ok, but you should wait and see if anyone has tried that combination. I would suggest getting the Turbo XS FMIC it looks to be of higher quality and has better piping and BOV placement. Also CP-E makes a FMIC and they claim it will work with all Cold Air Intakes they said that here http://siteground207.com/~protegeg/product_info.php?cPath=160_257&products_id=1404

Well, I think the TurboXs will work with the cp-e cai- I'm just no sure. The pictures I looked at I believe was an Injen cai and TurboXS FMIC.

I dislike the cp-e FMIC- the core is small and sits like it was half ass job.....and the cost for something like that? no way.

I might just get either the TurboXS FMIC and go from there.
