215/45/17, 215/50/17, 225/45/17?

^ none really.  You shouldnt go larger than 215 on stock wheels.  225/45 would be best.. but its too wide for 6" wheels.  Go with 215/45 if you must.

so youd say stock size is still the best?
i dont do auto x or anything, just looking form more perf.

well, 215/45 is wider and will get you marginally more grip, but its also shorter than the stock tires and will throw off your speedometer. If that wont bother you, then go with 215/45.

If you're changing from the stock RSA's, just about any tire is going to give you better performance. That being said, the tire that you choose is whats most important, not the size.

Stock wheels are 6.5" width btw... if you are not auto-xing or anything similar I would just stick with the stock size. A 215 width won't be noticable on the street compared to stock. The only advantage of going with a 215/45 is you have a few more tire choices as the stock size doesn't have many options for a replacement. Kuhmo ASX are pretty popular for a stock size.
