Where is the Mazda 3 Made ?

I heard JAPAN is that true ?

If so that increases my chances of getting the car by a LOT.

I wonder where the other 10-20 % of the remaining parts come from?

Mexico?

Why does the sedan seem to have 90% Japan parts, and the hatch have 80%. What's the big difference?

I was thinking they were taking parts from the bottom of the ocean...

Possibly the Titanic.

Well on the Mazda6, maybe they did take the door frames from the bottom of the ocean since they have had the rust ( uhh staining) problem. Cheap shot, sorry all MZ6 owners :) Great car otherwise.

I have Saint-Gobain glass on my PRO too! So I guess you all drive around with a bit of PRO around you :)

So Saint-Gobain is in Germany? Sounds like a French name to me...

Saint-Gobain

Yea it's a French company with manufacturing facilities in 45 countries. I think the automotive glass division is based in Germany but it is also manufactured in US and Asia. Most German, French and Britich cars us Saint-Gobain or Sekurit Brand (also S-G) glass.

Engine & Transmission - Mazda in Japan
Chassis - Volvo in Europe
Suspension - Ford in Europe (Then tuned by Mazda in Japan)
