I have a 2006 with Sirius (which I don't want anymore), and I just want a "simple" setup (read plug and play) I really don't need all the bells and whistles. So I'm looking at the Mazda ipod adapter '04-'07 (P/N C23679CFZ) and Mazda wants 1 1/2 hours to install it, my closest Mazda dealer is 1 1/2 hour drive one way. So I have 3 hours in right there and the $$ out lay to the dealer. I'm going to put in a cabin air filter at the same time and I did find a walk through for that!
Thanks

PM me your e-mail and I can send you the pdf of the mazda install sheet.

Also bear in mind that function-wise the grom audio is similar to the OEM one, however it doesn't lock the ipod at all times and is only ~$75. If you were to go with something like the audiolink you'd also get an extra 3.5mm input. From what other people have said those both have better UI's than the OEM one, and they're both completely plug and play.

Honestly the install isn't difficult, and a walkthrough for any ipod module will work for you.

I didn't know if the other adaptors would be long enough to make it into the glove box!
Thanks again!

It pretty much all depends on where you mount it. AFAIK most of them have long enough cables to reach to the glove box, or to the center console. Most people tend to just go to the ash tray though.
