Well I have an 05 HB and stock rims. I need to buy some new tires!
Tirerack says 205/50/17 is the stock tires size, but the FAQ here in this forum says its 215/50/17
so which is correct?

Will 215/45/17 with a little bit lower profile be ok?

Yeah you should be fine with that combo. A lot of people are running that.

Just was not sure because its different in a couple of places and what not.
But I guess I will go with 215/45/17 then

205/50/17 is stock. go look at your tires.

215/45/17 is a much better size offering a stiffer sidewall, more grip, and more choices.
