Hi everyone,

I have replaced my stock red rear fog lamp with a clear one to match the reversing lamp.

I now want to patch into the reversing light to power a second reversing light in the new clear lamp. The issue is this will draw 42W over the wiring that previously only powered one 21W bulb. Is this too much for the stock wiring?

If so I'll have to go with some LED bulbs that will draw less power which is a shame as I have found them not as bright. These look the best but ouch $27!

Thanks in advance,
Dave

On North American cars which have two backup lights there is a single wire running from the Passenger Junction Box to the back of the car for the two backup lights. The wire runs to the left light and jumps across to the right one. You should be okay connecting your new B/U light to the original one.
