Looks reminiscent of a 3rd-party GPS tracker. Might help to see what's at the other end of the cord -- what wires/plug is tapped in where.

Edit: it also looks like it has perforations like for a speaker -- like for a 3rd-party alarm system. Moreover, for clarification, a GPS module isn't necessarily insidious, particularly if your car has a 3rd-party navigation system, or dash cam.

Idk where it leads but my car isn’t new enough it hasn’t even got cruise control.. I noticed it and it has a high low switch, gps wouldn’t have that switch I thought
