I have a 3s h/b 07 and am happy with the car. well a couple of weeks ago my gf is telling me that she drove a stick before but I still wouldn't let her drive my car. her moms resures me that she has driving a stick and she is pretty good at it , so i finally give in. the other day we were in a parking lot and I go ok let see if you could drive a stick. well the point of the story is after she drove it (less then 5 min) the clutch engangment seems to be higher now. (personatly i think she was riding the clutch even thoe she swears she didn't)

what I mean by that is. I have to take the clutch almost all the way out for the car to start rolling. I never had that problem before. I only had to take out the clutch a lil bit and it would engage.

so did she worn down my clutch or is it just me. and do i have to change it immidetly, if so should I get the Mazdaspeed clutch get the regular clutch or something else.

I have the same car. The clutch engages at the top of the pedal, always has since day one. Makes for real quick shifting :D

Can't imagine how 5 minutes of driving could of worn your clutch (assuming she wasn't burning it at 8Krpm). These are self-adjusting, and should be near the top of the pedal, not bottom. So it sounds like its right now, was wrong b4.

You may want to check your brake & tx fluid, somethings screwy going on that the engagement point changes so quickly.

you are one paronide mofo...

or your just looking for a reason to upgrade to the mazdasped clutch

either way it cant be a problem with the car. no driving conditions; combination of droping clutch/riding clutch for 5 minutes will produce enough wear on the clutch to be noticed

sounds like you are a more ameture stick driver then your gf
hahah, i had to go there :D

LOL maybe I :dunno:

but, when I was going up hill felt weak. where i usually feel the clutch engage there was no pressure ( it felt fake) I had to take it way out. feels wierd to me and now everytime i get in the car I feel like am driving another car not well it been like a week like this maybe it would adjust to me again but sooner or later when i get the short shifter am going to change clutch. just to let you know I dont need an excuse... LOL :exnbp:

If she damaged your clutch in under 5 minutes, your car would probably still smell like burnt clutch!

Well did she adjust your seat? I know with me sometimes depending how close you are sitting to the clutch makes a difference in how the pedals feels because of how far your leg has to stretch out.

so yesterday I went to the dealer and told the guy to check the clutch. I feel that it has no pressure. when he gave me the car back he said we fix it. I didn't even ask what was wrong with it. I got in the car and the clutch fell stiff again so I was happy. All he told me was your clutch is good, now you should feel presure in the pedal again. so there I guess there was something wrong. but my gf was not to blame for.

Can you say placebo? I think the guy was a tailor in a former life.... Sized you up and adjusted your seat. The Ferrari dealer charges $1275.32 for that service (not that I have been there).

My wife is from Europe and never drove anything before we moved back to the states. She has been driving the Geo Tracker I bought as a manual trainer for quite a while and the clutch still feels perfect, and it has 90k on it.
