Just wondering what color will be offered. I hope there will be a titanium silver.

Not sure. I really liked the Spicy Orange and the Blazing Yellow. I think a green metallic color (not light or dark, just plain green) would be sweet. The Laser Blue Mica is cool too.

Oops. I thought I was in the MazdaSpeed section. My above reply applies to the MazdaSpeed.

For the 3i and 3s, I would like to see the following from the Protege carried over:

Laser Blue Mica
Sunlight Silver Metallic
Black Mica
Pure White

And new colors like:

a plain red
a dark grey metallic
a plain green metallic
a yellow (like the Blazing Yellow)
a navy metallic

And I don't want to see:

Champagne
Brown
Tan
Gold
Emerald (dark green)

:D

I think the Green color thats on the RX-8 would look nice on the MZ3. It looks black and dark grey in different light. Its funny that my MZ6 is Steel Grey and most ppl think its a light green color.

Interior trim accents

What I'm actually curious about is the interior trim... we've seen a lot of photos with blue or tan seat cloth seat inserts and door trim, to coordinate with the exterior color. Would Mazda have the ability to make matching cloth in all colors like that? Cuz that would be much more interesting than the black-econocar-zigzag-only seats in the Protege5. Also cements the connection with the RX-8 and its two-tone leather.

- titanium gray metallic
- indigo blue metallic
- velocity red metallic :!:

I wonder if they'll have different colors for the sedan and hatch. Like they currently do with the Protege and Protege5. The 3s hatch will occupy the same position in the US as the P5 (all exterior trimmings, side sills, big fog lights, etc standard) and will be much more youth-oriented. I would expect them to offer the same unique colors as they do on the current P5, but not the Protege sedan:

Laser blue
Yellow
Classic red

Y'know.. colors my dad would never buy. We've already seen pictures of a yellow euro 3 hatch, so we know it's in the paint scheme somewhere. And "indigo blue" cannot possibly be the sweet bright blue at the top of this page. Indigo is more like midnight blue. Yawn.

I bet the Indigo Blue is just like the pic. They do weird names for colors. I like the Sunset Orange though if thats what the color the hatch pictures are of.

I wonder what starlight green is. I wish they'd hurry up and release photos of colors, prices, build & price, and all that jazz.

Clueless in Toronto. Why do we need to have different colour (aka: color) names in Canada and the US, I don't understand.

Case in point:

Mazda6 US: Lapis Blue
Mazda6 CANADA: Sonic Blue

This is for the top of the line 2.0 Mazda3 in Germany.

The colour names are not exactly what we'll get in NA (I translated from German w/out Altavista!) and we'll most likely NOT get a choice of interiors like in Europe, but here's what I have:

Blue Interior Only:
Yellow 25C
Strato Blue 25E
Montreal Blue 27B
Copper (think Nissan Murano) 27Y

Red Interior Only:
Tornado Red 27A

Blue or Red:
Pure White A4D
Black 16W
Satin Silver 22V
Emerald Green (Dark) 27C
Laguna Green (think Sepang Green) 28A
Titanium Grey 29Y

What do you mean by that? From what you posted, it seems like they have a choice of two- blue or red. Are you saying we'll probably get more?

I've seen a total of five different interiors for the 3.

Black Leather

Beige Cloth

Red Cloth

Red Stripe Cloth (large)

Blue Stripe Cloth (large)

Interesting to note is that the black leather and beige cloth both have manual climate controls, while the red stripe and blue stripe have automatic. Also, you can tell that the color of the red stripe car is red and the color of the blue stripe car is blue.

What I'm saying is that the Europeans can chose the interior, but here it will be like this:'

If you buy silver you get grey, while in Europe you might be able to specify if you want grey, beige, black. This is just an example, so don't take it word for word.

In NA once you chose the exterior colour, you have no choice on the interior, but in Europe you can specify exterior and interior.
