I have about 3500 miles on my ms3 and recently installed the AWR rear engine mount 70 durometer. After installing it I noticed that when the car is idling if I turn the steering wheel the engine actually very slightly revvs. I do not know if it is due to the engine mount(dont see how it is) or if I actually just started listening closer due to the new part(making sure there werent any insane vibrations or noise). I was wondering what could account for this? Sorry if I seem like the noob I am.

i could be totally off ,but if you turn the wheel the powersteering pump would go causing the slight engine rev?

I believe you're right. The fluctuation is more severe on some cars.

agreed, any time you dry steer a vehicle there is usually an associated increase in engine rpm

its 100% normal, my last car did it, this car does it and when you are warming up the car its a fun way to make the exhaust growl a tad like a mad kitty.

The sound that i hear is a high pitch kind of wining sound when i dry steer?? is that just the pump?!? my power steering fluid is full also...

The MS3 is very sensitive to the degree of steering because of the electric part. It's normal to just slighty move the wheel and get a couple hundred revs outta it
