FYI - 90% of the great look of a freshly detailed car is due to proper prep prior to waxing (washing, claying, polishing). If the vehicle is prepped well, any wax will look great. For a consumer-level wax, NXT 2.0 is a good combo on dark paint.

What kind wax are you looking for? Max shine, max durability, or a combination of both?

I'd also recommend picking up some Meguiar's ScratchX 2.0 or Meguiar's Ultimate Compound (don't be scared, it's consumer safe). These two products are polishes that will help eliminate the swirls that show up so easily in black paint.

AutoGeek.net is where I buy most of my stuff. If you purchase $95 or more, use coupon code "AGO" to get free shipping which is one of the best deals they offer.

Some waxes/sealants do look better on certain paints. That said, I wouldn't put too much stock in to the stuff that's in the stores. If you stick with Mother's, Meguiar's, or Duragloss you should do just fine.
