So heres the deal, I love Speed 3s. I purchased my 3S Sedan in March of 05 and absolutely loved the thing for awhile, until the Speed 3 came around. Went to the dealer and test drove one as soon as i could get my hands on one. Everything about the car= awesome. I came to love my sunroof on my 3S, and wish the Speeds came with them, but no biggie- guess i could always save up and get one installed. Anyway, I've been in this constant debate about getting a MS3 for going on 2 years lol. Part of me says to be sensible and just hold on to what I have now (which by the way has a new engine with not even 6,000 miles on it, compliments of the warranty). The car itself has has 49000 on the odo and still drives and looks like pretty close to the day i bought it, minus the usual stuff (swirl marks, a few minor door dings, creeks and rattles in the interior- mainly during the colder weather). Hell, i havent even had to replace my front rotors or pads yet lol. I did however make the mistake of taking it to a muffler shop and having them cut out the muffler (diy exhaust lol) which tends to leak. I should get that fixed lol. So anyway to my question- should i try and fix it up to keep it (paint buffed and polished, tranny flushed, maybe get a nice cat back exhaust for it, aftermarket grille, get the windows tinted and get it lowered and possibly some rims. Or should i fix it up to stock specs, and try my best to sell it outright? I figure some new front brakes and a good detail would just about get it ready for sale. I owe about 9,000 on it as of now, and KBB is telling me its worth around 11k give or take. So technically there is 2k for a down payment. Im pretty confident I can get the payment where I want it, but is it worth going back into that much debt? I know people are prob thinking "well thats your decision", but I'm asking for other peoples opinions. What do YOU think? lol. If I were to pick one up I would want to get the CWP GT without navi. My local dealer (where I got my 3S from) has two of the exact cars I want on their lot, and theyve both been there for about 3 months. Right now its stickered at 25,125 if i remember correctly. I would also intend on holding onto it for a while. Its fast, economical, and utilitarian. Why mess with perfection? lol Very little mods would be done- maybe a COBB intake, BOV, tinted windows, and MAYBE eventually lower it and a CBE. So lets hear it!

:lmao: i have been talking myself out of a speed3 since they came out in Pearl White.
here are the arguments i have been using:
1. I already drive faster than almost everyone else. The extra HP s superfluous unless I was racing somebody, which I would never do on public roads (unless they provoked me :p)
2. Premium gas. Its not just the extra cost, its the fact that the refinery charges $.07 more for premium, and the station tacks on another 10-20 cents just because they can.
3. Fuel mileage. I try to be green. I know you can get decent mileage in the Speed3, but then what's the point of exchanging the 3 for one?
4. Tickets. If driven the way it should be, I am bound to get tickets.
5. My baby. I've put a lot of work and time into getting my 3 the way I like it. I don't want to part with it. If I had a bigger garage, maybe i'd consider having both. :p
6. Sirius. It's not that I couldn't live without it, but my free trial is still going. How can I give away free lifetime Sirius radio? (okay, that doesn't apply to you, but it's funny to me, lol).
7. Economy. If you are not secure in your job, you might not want to take on more debt right now.

Reasons to get a Speed3:
1. It's fun!
2. You brag and thumb your nose at the poor NA drivers.
3. Economy. If people with secure jobs don't start buying stuff, the economy isn't going to turn around. Nobody is buying anything and the whole thing is cycling downward because of consumer fear.

MS3 FTW!!! I have no problem with the sport model, of course I'm a no frills kinda guy, don't need all the "extras" expecially for the difference in price. The only thing the GT has that I would want and may eventually put on my sport are the HID Xenon headlights. So I vote for the MS3 all the way.

On a side note, there is no sunroof on this car because it helps the structual integrity of the car, expecially w/ as much torque as this car has, also in the twisties it keeps the frame stiff. Don't even think about "adding a sunroof later" it's just not wise, probably not even possible! I had a sunroof in my old car and I must say I loved it, but for me the power of the MS3 has made me forget all about having/wanting a sunroof!

sold my 07' CWP GT sedan to get a 09' CWP speed3 sport... and like someone else said... i never looked back. and although i loved my last car... this one is ten times better! i honestly look forward to driving my car all throughout the day. driving to work/and back. Or even going to school/and back... even if your just cruising on the freeway the pick up on this car is amazing when passing people. JOHN in the LBC you def need to pull the trigger and get one. ASAP. or just wait for the 2010 models . however im not really feeling the look of those as much.
