Aight, in the owners manual, it says that the licence plate light (and others) are W5W bulbs. I've never heard of this type of bulb before, and was wondering if anyone knows of any good aftermarket superwhite or LED W5W bulbs.

sorry, one more thing....is there a SAE bulb equivalent, like 192, 194, 168??

Hey bee04M3S,

You want to make reference to the SAE numbers when looking for the bulb fitments.

i know, thats the problem. In the owners manual, it lists both the SAE and ECE R bulb numbers. However, for the license plate, trunk light and overheard lights it only lists the ECE R bulbs numbers. I need to know if any SAE type bulbs will fit in the ECE R W5W type slot.

W5W = 158,168,194

Available in bright white, much brighter than LED's.
Also used as a citylight on European vehicles which is why we went to production with it.
