oh for the love of God guys... don't screw with the new members- you never can tell if they have any automotive knowledge or not.
There are conflicting reports on inserts to create a vortex- some say it helps mileage, some say it helps power, others say it does nothing or even hurts. Spike TV's "Trucks" Stacey David tested one, and the dyno showed nothing for power.
Perhaps such a thing would work if it was installed further ahead of the throttle body to smooth airflow all the way in; but right before the TB dosn't seem like it could possibly do much of anything. Also, you have to consider- what beyond that point causes turbulence? Well, the throttle body itself can! Butterfly valves will cause turbulence.
My opinion? Waste of money. Now, drop the X and change it to CH and you may be on to something..... (Vortech is a super-charger company if you don't know)
