I serached a couple different key words but wasn't able to come across anything so I'm posting here.
I just picked up an '05 hatchback yesterday. It's got what feels like an out of balance tire vibration from about 35-70ish mph when on the throttle. The hard on the gas the more prevolant the vibration. Of the gas/coasting it's smooth as can be. That's why I don't think it's a tire. It's definitely coming from the front end and I think it's more on the pass but not 100%. I'm thinking possibly a CV, the car has 85K on the odo. But every other fwd car I've had the CV's "clicked" when doing sharp turns under power. This has always kind of been a tell tale sign for the CV's going bad. This car doesn't do that.
Any ideas to start looking at? I can't really do much right now but when I get it out to my house in Az in 2 weekends I'll get it jacked up and crawl under to inspect it. Just looking for ideas of places to start.
I read about possible motor mount issues but I really can't believe this would be related to them. It's almost speed and throttle sensative. That's why I'm leaning towards the axles/cvs.
Thanks,
Khris
