and why is better? sry to ask but i am bad and never understood what the fuck those nr meen
It is not that they are "better" but compared to the stock 205/50-17 the 215/45's are wider and have a slightly shorter side-wall possibly yeilding better turn-in response.
It should be noted that most 215/45's (or at least every one that i've read the specs on) reccomend at least a 7" wide rim. This may mean unless you are buying a tire with a super stiff side-wall that they may exhibit the undesired behaviour of turning over onto the sidewall during extreme cornering...
The 215/50's have a slightly taller side-wall than the stock size but are O.K. to mount on the 3's 6.5" stock rims.
215/45 looks better and by nature has a stiffer sidewall than a 215/50. 215/45 is a more common size than 205/50 and 215/50 so you can find more tire options and a bit cheaper in price in that size.
just to elaborate more so you can actually put those numbers to use, if you multiply the tire width by the aspect ratio, you can find the size of the sidewall.
so for example: 215/45/17
215 x 45% = 96.8mm which is the width of the sidewall.

215/45/17 might goof up your speedo, you gotta keep the same series unless you change wheel size.

Both 215/50/17 and 215/45/17 are within 2% of the stock diameter (+ and - respectively), so your speedo will be affected by no more than that amount. It's probably not that accurate to begin with.
