Hello I was searching around and I simply could not find a thread that answered my sp23 questions. From what I understand the Mazda 3 SP23 was only 2005 model but what I don't understand are the colors. Is it just one color for both the Hatch and the Sedan or are their more then just Carbon Grey Mica? Also is there any transmission or horsepower advantages that the sp23 has?

Thank you for answering my questions :D

Yes, the sp23 (in the US) was a special edition model. It came only in Carbon Gray, and that color hasn't been offered in the US since then. The features it had over the regular version were: bose audio, HIDs, TPMS, leather (yes the regular 3 could get this, but you could get black or brown in the sp23), LED tails on the 5-door........ and I think that was basically it. No performance differences whatsoever.

Everything that was available on the sp23 is now available on the current Grand Touring model (with the exception of the saddle brown leather)

If it was in the US and then it was either a Carbon Gray sp23 with saddle brown leather, or it was a regular 3 with added sp23 badges, and some form of seat covers. Saddle brown leather was only offered on the '05 sp23 in the US.
