I dont know if this is the right place to post this question, but if not Mods could you please move it to the proper place? I noticed there is no do it yourself section on here so I figured I would post this here to see if anyone can help me.

One of my friends just got brand new 2007 Mazda s 5dr and wants to put some subs and a new amp in there, but needs help. Normally I would do it for him, but he is about 500 miles away at College so I really cant. So I was hoping someone could post a small tutorial with a few pictures to help him out.

See he is affraid of breaking the molding along the door and what not. So if someone have done this on his car (which I know many of you have) could someone please write up a tutorial and if possible post just a few pictures of how to do it? If there is one on here already could someone post the link, because I searched but with no luck.

Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.

i wouldn't mind seeing a 'to do' on this as well . . . i have no clue and wouldn't mind doing something like this as a summer project . . . but i would want to keep my stock deck.... is that okay to do?

I used to be an installer for Tweeter for 5 years and I'm certified so to me installing stuff is SUPER easy and what not, but my friend has never done anything like this and he just got the car and is affraid of ruining something.

On side note there is some GREAT info on here.

I dont have the Mazda 3 07, but I do some quick research on it and from what I gathered all you need to keep the Stock headunit is a LOC (Line Out Converter) they are about $25 or so at Best Buy , but like I said I just quickly skipped over some stuff so I could be wrong.

You noticed wrong. The Electronic's Sub forum is entitled "Technical Information, FAQS, How-To's, Installations"

Heres a link.
