Hey Guys,

Here is a sneak peak of our Cat-Back exhaust system. We are playing with our muffler and resonator selection to keep the sound reasonable but to offer the maximum power output. We have played with variations from straight pipes all the way down to dual mufflers. We are going to work on dialing it in a bit more, before we have a final release.

The standard specs on the exhaust will be polished full 3 inch mandrel bent stainless. It will also have beefy flanges at mid pipe and rear muffler connections. We decided to do this instead of slip joints that are notorious for leaking.

We have also played the tip variations as well. A lot of our customers have stopped by and fallen in love with our current slash tip configuration.

Here is a pic we took on our Australian car let me know what you think?

I'm a bit noob as far as it goes on exhaust.

Can I use this if I want to keep it like the stock (emissions, etc) but just have a better built one so it's less restrictive?

If someone could point me to a tutorial on all these exhaust and down/up-pipe and what everything does and what the choices do (catback, catless, turbo, etc) as I'm a little lost =\

I'm trying to keep my car sleeper looking, so anything that looks very close to the stock tip gets my boat. If its not going to look stock, it'd have to be WAY aftermarket looking. 5zigen fireball muffler style would be my next choice..heh. Angled look with slant cut tip.

You don't want to make it too flush with the car it will burn and discolor your bumper. That is not a good look at all.

I'm with you there. I've been reading a lot just to catch up. It's awsome to learn this stuff. There is some basic stuff in wikipedia, but nothing that would give you an edge beyond the very basics. I'll be looking for magazines, boodks, training, etc.

Can TurboXS post more underneath pictures and stand alone pictures and a sound sample. I wish we had the shiny rims they got down under mate.

The stock tip looks better. This one looks wimpy.

I'd be ok with a little bigger - but definitely don't give us a coffee can look!

i think you misunderstood me when i said carry it farther in. look at your pics. before the tip is into the bumper(on the left side) you can see it reducing to the 3" pipe. carry the size of the tip past the bumper.

As others have said, bigger and higher to fill the cut out better. Try to keep it looking and position like the stock one.

Call me a ricer, but how about a titanium styled tip?

Here's an example of one for the E46 M3

+1 for titanium style tip. Also, I agree with the others that size tip size needs to be larger and that the tip itself needs to be further into the bumper; right now it looks like its hanging loose.
