I have the apexi installed in my car. It is running great however sometimes
it seems that the car shut off even when the TT is ''on'' it happened like 5-6 times during
the summer.

Called apexi and they said it was probably related to mazda's wiring/ecu since all the
connection are fine (checked that at least 10 times)

only thing i could do is switch the ign1 and ign2 input on the turbotimer, then it wont shut off, but it will lose like a millisecond of spark and shutter one time.

and also the park light is constantly on in this setup. :(

I have had the Greddy turbo timer on for a long time with no problems at all.
Where did you tap into the ebrake and what wire did you tap into. With the parking light on sounds like something is backwards.

My friend with an STI got one that looks like a generic APEXI turbo timer.

The brand is "zero-1000" I think.

Anyways, it sucked so don't get generic. :)

It would give him trouble starting the engine, and cause it to immediately stall so he took it out.

I think it's more of a "bling" thing anyways.

Even if you are water cooled it is added protection that will prolong the life of your turbo.
I say why sit in the car for a minute or two when a TT will do it for you.
