Hey all,
First post. Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, I've looked for a whole and don't see my question covered elsewhere.
My son is thinking of buying a 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 with a blown 2.3 turbo/manual transmission. As we all know the replacement engine is too expensive so I'm considering the Fusion 2 5 swap.
Here's my question...
Can I keep the turbo setup ? Will the fusion head be compatible? Namely oil flow, but also came and anything else I'm missing.
I've read a few threads on the naturally aspirated swap but am not finding anything on the turbo swap. Any advice or pointers pointing me to other threads would be gravely appreciated
Thx

You have to swap the head from your speed into the new Fusion 2.5. Obviously this will involve a new head gasket. You also have to swap oil pans, and you will need to drill a hole in the newly swapped oil pan to fashion a place for the oil return line, since the Fusion 2.5 block lacks a place for the line.
